Make It Personal: In Business For Yourself-Not By Yourself.

It’s the worry of being an imposter.

It’s being selfish while thinking about YOU in the YouEconomy.

It’s about thinking personally or professionally.

Whatever obstacle you’re currently facing in your business, you’ll find that doing what you love is a lot like finding love.

You shouldn’t have to convince anyone to choose you. There is no real choice in love. -Mandy Hale

The reason I love branding a business and honing in on a target audience is because you are putting yourself out there in the simplest, most authentic form and the people who love you and what you offer interact…those who don’t, don’t.

Congrats. You’ve just rejected the first person who won’t buy from you.

You shouldn’t have to yell and chase your audience in order for people to buy from you. You shouldn’t have to put down other companies in order for you to skyrocket your sales.

Instead you should focus on making intentional moves forward. You post that photo, blog or product because you know your intentions are good and you’re confident in your reasoning.

If you’re wondering if you should post something, ask yourself a few questions:

  • What’s this posts purpose?
  • Is it necessary?
  • Does this show, say and look like something relevant to my brand?
  • What am I asking from my audience? (Promotion, Engagement, CTA, etc.)
  • Is this relevant?
  • Is it honest?
  • Is it true?

Got it?

Good.

Daunting?

Sure.

Everything you want is on the other side of consistency.

It’s about showing up every. single. day. because you love what you do. No matter what people are commenting (or not commenting), saying (or not saying) or doing (or not doing). No matter how you feel or if you are motivated or not.

You don’t have to have motivation to get through something.

You need to have discipline rather than

find motivation.

You’re not a victim. Get out of the victim mentality.

Motivation is not a mandatory thing to have because it will come and go. Motivation just makes doing the hard things easier.

It’s not motivation’s responsibility to make you do something. It’s YOUR responsibility.

It’s your responsibility to eat healthy and workout regularly so you can live a long, healthy life. It takes discipline to do those things regularly because it’s not always something you want to do. Even if you don’t WANT to post daily on social media or create a business plan, you have to set aside the time to do so for the sake of your business.

Insert blank. Insert whatever makes that applicable to your life. Life takes discipline because there will be no good, very bad days where you won’t have the motivation.

It’s up to you to make a small step forward every day. It’s the fact that even if you have to slow down you don’t stop, quit or give up.

You’re not sure how to make a website? Ask someone who does.

You don’t know what to post everyday? Research. Ask someone who does that for a living.

Not sure where you need to start? ASK THE QUESTIONS.

You’re doing this for some greater purpose in this world. I know not everyone is realizing the importance of why you should outsource as much as possible for your time and your sanity so I write these posts and others in the blog on a variety of subjects to help and entertain in the meantime.

You might be the only sole proprietor but you are not alone. There are endless resources on the internet; you already know this. It still doesn’t help the fact of trying to learn the skills, create the content, learn about a new subject or master a new program. So ASK for help.

Just like you believe you’re doing your job for a reason, so does someone else. You’re more than capable of taking a photo on your smartphone but you still hire a professional photographer for your wedding day. Just because you CAN do something, doesn’t mean you SHOULD or HAVE to. (DUH).

You are in this for yourself and everything you believe in. You’re not in this alone.

Keep going. You did not come this far just to come this far.

Cheers!

Marin

It’s about time to post every day on your social media to people who love what you have to offer. Ask me how!
