risks
Several months ago I took a sheet of stickers and randomly flipped through my “work journal” placing them on pages. I also randomly wrote quotes I liked, knowing I would come across these in the future while writing notes.

As I mentioned in my last post, I’m about to take a risk, take a chance and I’ve been FILLED with energy and excitement putting everything into action.

When I wrote this in 2018 I was launching Local Collaborative. I love revisiting these old posts and reflect on WHY we keep doing what we’re doing.

While watching some online interviews- All Linked Below– this was on my ninth (yes NINTH) pages of notes. It made me laugh out loud.

At that same time I got a text from my second client in two weeks who saw my work and wanted to hire me for it. Something I love doing and reaffirming my talents and strengths. The way these last few weeks have worked out, the conversations I’ve had and the random assurances (like this) that keep popping up take any fear or questioning away.

So to anyone else out there questioning or fearing something, I’m here and I’ll take that risk with you. Just say when.

For those of you who have taken a risk let me know your successes, failures and lessons learned below in the comments!

“He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.”-Muhammad Ali.

FEBRUARY 2019

I want to add a little something here as I eavesdrop on my 2018 self. I remember I was writing this as I was sitting at our black, plastic wood kitchen table. I had dim lights turned on around me to lighten up the overcast, constant Seattle rain. I was in a situation where I should have felt lost, distressed and angry but instead I truly did feel energized, excited and optimistic.

A solely home-based digital business hasn’t provided an income surpassing anything I have earned in the past but I’m no longer in a toxic work environment, stressed, diminished or held back. I am available for the flexibility our life requires and am excited to work every day.

If you have a hobby, an interest, a side job or venture and you’re just not sure where to begin then let’s talk about it. You deserve to feel like you’re doing something worthwhile every single day!

Interviews Mentioned. Yes, you should have these playing while you work:
